Queen's Roger Taylor Releasing Solo Album In October

Roger Taylor, drummer for Queen, will be releasing a solo album, Fun on Earth, in October. Taylor spoke on the release with Classic Rock magazine, calling the mix of tunes on it "eclectic":

"My first solo effort (in 1981) was called Fun in Space. I've called this one Fun on Earth. I've come down to earth a bit, but there's still a bit of fun in there--some smiley tracks. It's been written over a five year period, so it's very eclectic. Some gentle stuff, some rockier stuff, and some fairly political stuff."

Among the tracks on the LP is "Say It's Not True," featuring a guest spot from guitar wiz Jeff Beck.

Along with Fun on Earth, Taylor will release The Lot, a comp of all his previous solo work as well as the material he recorded with former side group, the Cross.
