Bruce Springsteen sent his first personally drafted tweet this week. The rock legend has had a verified Twitter account for some time now, but has left it to his promotional team.
In the new message, the Boss gave a shout out to fans in South America saying he is looking forward to hitting the road with his E Street Band in the region:
"Bruce here . . . looking forward to seeing friends in Chile, Argentina & Brazil on tour next month," he tweeted. "Any requests?"
Within a day he had amassed thousands of favorites and re-tweets. Some of the top fan requests included "Jungleland," "Adam Raised a Cain," and "I'm on Fire."
Springsteen will kick off his tour in South America on September 12 in Santiago, Chile, and continue through September 21 with a performance at Brazil's Rock in Rio Festival.
