Bob Seger lent a hand to fellow Detroit rocker Kid Rock in breaking a record for the most consecutive sold-out shows at an arena in the Motor City. Rock sold out eight straight nights at Detroit's DTE Energy Music Center earlier this month, a feat Seger also accomplished in 1977.
Though both rockers sold out the same number of nights, the venue has been expanded since Seger's days, meaning Rock played to more people each night. The country/rap star was joined by Seger onstage for the final night of the show and said the pair felt a real bond.
"I'm sure there's more for us to do," Rock said after the show. "It was beyond mind-blowing. There's definitely something there."
This isn't their first collaboration, however, as they also appeared together for a pair of shows in North Dakota where Rock sat in on Seger's classic "Forever."
