John Entwistle, the late bass player for the Who, will have one of his luxury autos put on the auction block next month. His 1980 Rolls Royce Silver Shadow was custom fitted in order to seat Entwistle's Irish wolfhounds.
The car is expected to sell for up to $25,000 at the September 13 auction.
A rep for Bonhams, the house handling the auction, said that the car has been kept in excellent condition:
"There was never an official factory-bodied estate version of the Shadow but that did not deter those wealthy enough from commissioning their own. The car has been kept at an estate in Perthshire, Scotland where it was mainly used for grouse shooting, and has been garage stored in a 'bubble' to maintain ideal air temperature."
Entwistle died of a heart attack in Las Vegas in 2002.
