A new set of rare Beatles recordings at the BBC will be released in October. The compilation was announced by the Beatles fan site "Wog Blog," which noted that Live At The BBC Vol. 2 is slated for release come October in the UK and November in North America.
It will include rare Beatles recordings from BBC performances thought to have been lost due to the BBC's former policy of recording over existing tapes.
There are no details on which tracks, or how many songs, will appear on the comp. The initial compilation was released in 1994, with the second coming after fans requested it of the BBC.
The release coincides with the publication of the book The Beatles: The BBC Archives: 1962-1970, written by Kevin Howlett, who also wrote The Beatles at the Beeb 1962-1965, and The Beatles at the BBC.
