Journey were joined on stage by both Carlos Santana and Gregg Rolie during their recent performance at the Pearl Theater at the Palms Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. The show marked a reunion of sorts, as Rolie and Journey's Neal Schon had both been members of Santana until 1972.
Rolie was, in fact, a founding member of the group, providing keys and backing vocals to the breakout hits "Black Magic Woman" and "Evil Ways."
The jam session could be the next step in a plan to bring Santana and Schon back together for a new album.
Thus far, there is no word whether Rolie will also connect on the project, which Carlos previously described as "like Santana IV because we stopped at Santana III."
