Rod Stewart says he'd love to tour with Elton John, a long-time friend and occasional collaborator.
Stewart, who presented John with the inaugural Brits Icon Award last week, told ABC News: "We did do a duet on one of my Great American Songbook albums, but really I'd love to - before we're both in wheelchairs - go out and do a tour together . . . I'd love to do that."
Whether it's in the cards is debatable, especially since John, 68, previously said that he aims to cut back on touring following his recent appendicitis operation.
On the other hand, Stewart, 68, has a full tour schedule ahead of him. He'll be touring Europe for the rest of the month, and then he'll kick off a U.S. tour with Steve Winwood in October.
After the tours wind down, Stewart is heading back to the studio. "I'm slated to do a country album," he told ABC.
