Ace Frehley And Peter Criss Won't Share Their Stories For KISS Documentary

Ace Frehley and Peter Criss have decided not to share their stories for the upcoming KISS documentary.

The news was revealed by Alan G. Parker, who is directing the band-sanctioned doc, You Wanted The Best, You Got The Best. He noted that the ongoing feud between Frehley and Criss, and Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley has soured the former pair on the film.

He explained: "[There's been] so much said about and done to Ace and Peter, that they interpreted the request to be in the movie as a favor to Gene and Paul. Because of that, they won't go anywhere near it. The negotiations were interesting, to say the least."

Criss and Frehley will make appearances via footage provided by band archivist and current guitarist Tommy Thayer. The film will also feature interviews specially recorded for the project with former guitarist Bruce Kulick, Bob Kulick (who performed on many studio tracks), and the family of late KISS drummer Eric Carr.

The film is slated for release in the autumn of 2014, according to Parker.
