Gene Simmons' Used Chewing Gum Sells For $250,000 At Auction

A piece of chewing gum used by Gene Simmons has sold at auction for almost $250,000. The KISS fronter was seen chewing the gum during an interview on the U.K.'s Soccer AM show last month. The auction took place on eBay and raked in a final tally of $247,000 with 99 different bidders contributing.

In addition to the gum, the winning bid took home the original gum wrapper, along with a transcript from the program.

Simmons was in London to sing the National Anthem before the NFL game in that city between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Minnesota Vikings. All of the proceeds from the auction will go to a charity group called the Street League.

The Organization works to try and help sports fans get jobs across the U.K., while fighting homelessness.
