A tree house style cottage once owned by John Lennon has hit the market in Los Angeles. The residence, located in the Laurel Canyon neighborhood, has been listed at just over $1 million and is currently owned by Australian Olympic swimmer Ian Thorpe.
According to realtor.com, the 960-square-foot home boasts "breathtaking wall-sized windows and elegant hardwood floors and ceilings, a master bedroom influenced by Japanese architecture," along with a large deck, revealing "stunning city views."
There is little record of Lennon's time in the home, though he did famously spend an extended period in Los Angeles while separated from Yoko Ono during the 1970s.
The pair had initially traveled to L.A. together for undergo primal scream therapy in 1970, and John later returned during the period that became known as his "lost weekend."
