Ginger Baker Says The Rolling Stones And The Who Are Bad Musicians

Former Cream drummer Ginger Baker has put his fellow classic rock icons the Rolling Stones and the Who on trial. During a recent interview with Rolling Stone magazine, the legend says he is friendly enough with both bands, but doesn't think much of their musicianship:

"[Stones drummer] Charlie [Watts] is a great friend of mine. I think the world of Charlie." He then added that he "won't go within 10 miles of a Rolling Stones gig."

When pressed on his reasons for avoiding Stones shows, he adds: "They're not good musicians," noting that "the best musician in the Stones is Charlie by a country mile."

Baker adds that he was close friends with late Who drummer Keith Moon, but adds that he "wouldn't say he was a great drummer."
