Fleetwood Mac bassist John McVie has been diagnosed with cancer. The band broke the news on its official Facebook page, revealing few details on his condition. They did, however, announce the cancellation of numerous tour dates.
The band had been scheduled to perform 14 dates in New Zealand and Australia in November and December. In the statement, F-Mac wrote that McVie is "now scheduled to be in treatment for cancer during that period of time."
"We are sorry to not be able to play these Australian and New Zealand dates. We hope our Australian and New Zealand fans as well as Fleetwood Mac fans everywhere will join us in wishing John and his family all the best."
The 67-year-old co-founded the band in 1967.
