Eric Clapton and Robert Plant are among the artists set to perform at the upcoming Celebration of Bert Jansch, to be held at London's Royal Festival Hall December 3.
Jansch, guitarist for the Brit folkers Pentangle, died in 2011. The event will benefit the foundation honoring his name, which aims to "sustain the creativity associated with Bert Jansch and his music by helping in the education and promotion of future generations of acoustic musicians."
The Festival Hall hosted Pentangle's first major performance in 1967, and the group recorded part of their album Sweet Child there in 1968.
The event also features surviving Pentangle members Terry Cox, Jacqui McShee and Danny Thompson, along with Bernard Butler, Mara Carlyle, Martin Carthy, Bonnie Dobson, Donovan, Gordon Giltrap, Roy Harper, Wizz Jones, Lisa Knapp, Beverley Martyn, Ralph McTell, Martin Simpson and Paul Wassif.
