The 11th annual Dylan Fest took place in New York City last night with Norah Jones and Jason Isbell leading a diverse cast of musicians to honor Bob Dylan. The event fundraised for Sweet Relief, an organization that raises money for musicians in need of money to pay medical bills.
Other artists that appeared on stage at the Bowery Ballroom included Elvis Perkins, Dhani Harrison, Lukas Haas, and Austin Scaggs. The vocalists were backed by the Cabin Down Below Band.
"Let's hear it for the real reason we're all here tonight . . . Give it up for Bob Dylan!" Scaggs said while on stage with the crowd cheering in response.
Most of the songs played came from Dylan's late-60s and early-70s catalog, including "Positively 4th Street," "Just Like a Woman," and "Like A Rolling Stone."
