Black Crowes Guitarist Preps Solo Release

Black Crowes guitarist Rich Robinson will release a solo album this spring called The Ceaseless Sight.

The album, Robinson's third solo work, will be put out by Brooklyn-based indie label The End Records. He says he is happy to be releasing an album on the label, and excited to work with label head Andreas Katsambas.

"[Katsambas] is a long time music fan and has some very forward ideas on how to get music out there," Robinson told Billboard, "but more importantly for me, [he knows] how to allow the artist to create pure music without the inevitable 'commercial versus art' clash that comes from a more traditional approach. All of Andreas' team shares these qualities."

Robinson will hit the road in the U.S. in 2014 to support of The Ceaseless Sight. He has spent the past year on tour with the Black Crowes as part of the band's Lay Down with Number 13 world tour.
