Former Velvet Underground Members Contribute To Lou Reed Doc

An upcoming documentary on the late Lou Reed, airing on BBC 4, will feature appearances from Reed's former Velvet Underground bandmates, including Mo Tucker and Doug Yule. Lou Reed Remembered airs at 9 PM on Sunday, Dec. 15.

Others offering their praise and remembrance include Thurston Moore of the Sonic Youth, Boy George, Debbie Harry, guitarist Steve Hunter (Berlin), and photographer Mick Rock.

The BBC offered a fuller description of what fans might expect from the rock doc:

"With the help of friends, fellow musicians, critics and those who have been inspired not only by his music but also by his famously contrary approach to almost everything, the documentary looks at how Reed not only helped to shape a generation but also helped to create a truly alternative, independent rock scene, while also providing New York with its most provocative and potent soundtrack."
