Def Leppard To Begin Working On New Album

Def Leppard have confirmed that they will hit the studio in February to begin recording the follow-up to 2008's Songs from the Sparkle Lounge. Guitarist Phil Collen says the band is pumped to get back to work:

"We're all excited and buzzy about new material. I can't remember the last time we were like that."

The band previously announced plans for the its second Las Vegas residency - this time in celebration of the 30th anniversary of the classic release, Pyromania. The dates for the upcoming residency have not been released, but it follows Lep's run last spring at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino.

For the first run of gigs, DL played their smash hit album Hysteria in full.
