The Allman Brothers have announced that they will stop touring at the end of the year, following the departure of guitarist Warren Haynes and Derek Trucks.
"This is it - this is the end of it. Forty-five years is enough, and I want to do something else anyway. Everyone has their own real good perspective bands," Gregg Allman said in a recent interview with Relix.
The band will certainly be keeping busy throughout 2014, performing their annual concerts at the Beacon Theatre in March, and releasing a new live album, recorded in 1971, next month.
They might not be gone for good however, as Allman added that he isn't totally opposed to some sort of reunion down the line.
"Whose to say? We may get together every five years and just do one play at a time."
