Styx Inducted Into Ultimate Classic Rock Hall Of Fame

Styx has been officially inducted into the Ultimate Classic Rock Hall Of Fame.

Styx was the last band standing after a fan-voted tournament that consisted of seven other bands. Styx defeated Foghat, Joe Walsh and Scorpions to take the honors. Also included in the tournament were Jackson Browne, Lou Reed, Peter Frampton and Steely Dan.

"The Ultimate Classic Rock Hall of Fame is designed to give our readers full control over which artists and bands are honored for their contributions to the classic rock genre," Ultimateclassicrock.com states of the voting process. "Every two months, one artist or group will be elected into the Ultimate Classic Rock Hall of Fame."

Aerosmith and Bachman-Turner Overdrive square off in the next round of voting. Fans can vote through March 3.

Styx joins the likes of The Doobie Brothers, The Faces and Rod Stewart in the Ultimate Classic Rock Hall Of Fame.
