U2 are hard at work on their new album says guitarist the Edge in a new interview with Rolling Stone. According to the ax man, the band has about 30 songs "in various states of being finished."
He added that "six or seven [of them are] mixed and ready to go . . . [W]e really want the songs to be right. That's the only reason why we're not on tour - because we're so good at starting, not so good at finishing. That's always the way it's been."
The album was originally scheduled to hit last December - now it is tentatively due this summer.
When asked whether the LP had a name yet, the Edge responded "Not yet. We have a few . . . That's the problem."
