Alice Cooper Documentary Trailer Released

A trailer for the forthcoming Alice Cooper documentary has been released.

The clip for the 97-minute feature, Super Duper Alice Cooper, shows the shock rocker from his early days in the music business through the development of his stage persona, along with his subsequent superstardom and personal struggles.

The film makers - Sam Dunn and Scot McFadyen - call it the "first-ever 'doc opera' - a dizzying blend of documentary archive footage, animation and rock opera that will cement forever the legend of Alice Cooper."

They add that it is "the twisted tale of a teenage Dr. Jekyll whose rock 'n' roll Mr. Hyde almost kills him."

The film features archival footage of Cooper, as well as appearances by Elton John, Iggy Pop, and Dee Snider. It is slated for a screening at the New York Tribeca Film Festival in April with a release coming in the spring.
