Country music icons Reba McEntire and Loretta Lynn have been announced as part of the lineup for the upcoming fourth annual Johnny Cash Music Festival.
Bobby Bare will also perform at the event, which will be hosted by comedian and gospel singer Mark Lowry.
"When I was asked to perform at the Johnny Cash Music Festival, there was absolutely no hesitation," McEntire tells the Boot. "I have always had a great deal of respect for Johnny Cash, and not just because he was one of the finest entertainers, performers and recording artists this industry has ever known. It is also because of his compassion and generosity."
The Johnny Cash Music Festival will be held on August 15 at Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, Ark. Proceeds from the concert support both the restoration of Cash's childhood home in Dyess, Ark., as well as a scholarship fund.
