Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band have signed on to appear at the free 2014 NCAA Final Four Music Festival taking place in North Texas between April 4 and 6. The Boss will close out the event with a show at the Capital One JamFest event on April 6.
The show will take place at Dallas's Reunion Arena and will be the Boss's first show at the venue since 2000.
"The Boss is a rock-and-roll icon, and getting the chance to see him in this setting - outside, on what we hope is a beautiful night, with the skyline all lit up - it's going to be an amazing experience," local organizer Tony Fay, who was director of communications for the Dallas Mavericks the last time Springsteen played the venue, told the Dallas News.
"The fact that it's on the site where the '86 Final Four was held, and where so many North Texans had unforgettable concert-going experiences for three decades, it's a great way to put an exclamation point on a great music weekend - and something all North Texans will remember for a very, very long time."
