Gregg Allman Misses Two Allman Brothers Shows Due To Bronchitis

Gregg Allman missed two shows scheduled for the Allman Brothers Band's current Beacon Theater run in New York City. The gigs, which took place Friday, March 21 and Saturday March 22, went on without Allman.

For the Friday and Saturday shows, the band recruited Kofi Burbridge from the Tedeschi Trucks Band, and Rob Barraco of Dark Star Orchestra to fill in for Gregg.

Ticket holders received an e-mail informing them of Allman's impending absence:

"Please be advised that, due to illness, Gregg Allman will be unable to perform on Saturday, March 22. The Allman Brothers Band will perform as scheduled. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused."

Reps for the singer later announced that the remaining gigs would go on as planned.
