Brian May And Kerry Ellis Talk About Releasing The Candlelight Concerts

Queen guitarist Brian May recently released The Candlelight Concerts - Live at Montreux 2013, a collab with Broadway star Kerry Ellis featuring a host of Queen covers as well as some old standards.

Speaking with Ultimate Classic Rock May complimented Ellis' unique approach to vocals:

"Kerry is very different from most other successful singers today. She is very instinctive and sings very much from the heart. And there is very little embroidery with Kerry and in a sense that's the way I am, too. I love to let a song just breathe and come through and so I think we see eye to eye on that. When we found this acoustic format everything seemed to just drop into place."

Songs included on the set are Queen's "Somebody to Love," "Crazy Little Thing Called Love" and "We Will Rock You." Ellis and May also cover "Something" (Beatles) and several other tunes.
