A dentist in Canada says that he is considering cloning John Lennon and raising the re-born legend as his son. Dr. Michael Zuk purchased one of Lennon's teeth at auction for £20,000 several years ago and says that in the future he may use DNA from the tooth to create another Lennon.
Speaking with the BBC, Zuk says that he may try to steer his Lennon clone from the rock and roll lifestyle:
"He would still be his exact duplicate but you know, hopefully keep him away from drugs and cigarettes, that kind of thing. But you know, guitar lessons wouldn't hurt anyone right?"
Speaking about possible legal and ethical issues of cloning he added: "[It] depends where you do these things. If it can't be done in one country you can do these things in another."
