Producers of A Night With Janis Joplin are indefinitely delaying its off-Broadway opening due to "production issues."
The musical, which opened last October, was supposed to re-open in the Gramercy Theatre in Manhattan's Chelsea neighborhood this week. The producers are offering ticket refunds.
"Refunds will be available for all ticket holders at point of purchase," according to a press statement. "Further information will be released when available."
A Night With Janis Joplin stars Mary Bridget Davies as Janis Joplin and presents what its website describes as a "musical journey celebrating Janis and her influences." It includes hits like "Down on Me," "Piece of My Heart," "Mercedes Benz" and "Me and Bobby McGee," and "I'm Gonna Rock My Way to Heaven."
