ESPN and Aerosmith plan on helping commemorate the 2014 Boston Marathon, one year after explosive devices were set off killing and maiming several people.
ESPN will air Dream On: Stories of Boston's Strongest on Saturday at 4 PM EST, featuring a performance of Aerosmith's hit "Dream On." The group will get help on the cut from the Southern California Children's Chorus.
"It's one of those rare songs that it can apply to a lot of different things. You can interpret it how you want, which is really the magic of the music," A-Smitty guitarist Joe Perry told ESPN of the event.
"You can take it and it can apply to something very personal and small, or a big event like what happened in Boston."
