Gregg Allman has been forced to cancel a string of tour dates after breaking his wrist.
Allman broke his wrist before beginning the tour and attempted to perform with the injury, managing to play at several of his concert shows. However, he pulled out after the condition deteriorated and has returned to the U.S. for treatment.
Allman did not cancelled the two Australian dates slated for Melbourne and Sydney, despite being unable to perform, instead chosing to have the opening acts Gov't Mule and Devon Allman (his son) play longer sets. Fans who did wish to see the bands were offered a full refund for their tickets.
This is the second string of cancellations Allman has had due to health issues. Earlier this month, he was forced to cancel the final four shows of his annual Allman Brothers Band residency in New York due to bronchitis.
