Alice Cooper has sat down to dish on his new film Super Duper Alice Cooper. The shock rocker told Ultimate Classic Rock that he didn't want to do a traditional documentary:
"It's sort of Anthony Hopkins and Hannibal Lecter. Myself and the character Alice Cooper are absolute opposites. That's what they went with on the documentary. And they kind of hit on the fact that which one had the problem with the alcohol and everything. It ends up that it was me, not the character. It wasn't the monster - it was Dr. Frankenstein."
In addition to interviews with original Alice Cooper bassist Dennis Dunaway and manager Shep Gordon, the doc features commentary from Elton John, Bernie Taupin, Iggy Pop, John Lydon and Twisted Sister's Dee Snyder.
Super Duper Alice Cooper debuted at the Tribeca Film Festival on April 17 and hits select theaters nationwide April 30. The DVD hits in June.
