Hypnotic Eye will see release on July 29th and will follow Petty and the Heartbreakers' blues rock-inspired 2010 effort Mojo. The band has been working on the LP for nearly three years now, recording at Petty's home studio in Malibu and fleshing out tracks at the band's L.A. rehearsal space, the Clubhouse.
"I knew I wanted to do a rock & roll record," Petty recently told Rolling Stone about Hypnotic Eye. "We hadn't made a straight hard-rockin' record, from beginning to end, in a long time."
