Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young have released "Pre-Road Downs," a cut from their upcoming three disc set CSNY 1974. The set culls material from two-month, 31-concert tour that visited 24 cities in 1974.
In addition to three discs of audio, the 40 track set features a video of eight performances, along with a 188-page book culled from the band's 1974 stadium tour.
"This is the most difficult project I've ever done in my recording life," Graham Nash told Rolling Stone of the set. "That's largely because of other people's agendas and trying to please four people at the same time. It only took us a year to actually do the physical work, but it took three or four years to get that work together."
For fans who don't want the four-disc set, the group is releasing a 16-song version, along with a 12-song version, the latter available exclusively through Starbucks.
CSNY previously streamed "Almost Cut My Hair" at its SoundCloud page. The full set hits July 8.
