Black Sabbath bassist Geezer Butler has gone out of his way not to miss any World Cup games while he's on tour with the band. Speaking with the Birmingham Mail, guitarist Tony Iommi says that Butler's booked pubs, clubs and hotel lounges throughout Europe" in order to view the games.
"I've warned Geezer not to burn the midnight oil (watching late-night games) too often -- or he'll be too tired for the gigs!" added Iommi.
The most important game for Butler - a quarterfinals match for England should they advance beyond the group stage and the second round - is the same time Sabbath is scheduled to perform at the British Summer Time Festival in Hyde Park.
"Geezer," Iommi joked, "will have to record the game."
