Robert Plant Debuts New Song 'Little Maggie' At Glastonbury Festival

During his Glastonbury appearance over the weekend, Robert Plant performed a new song called "Little Maggie." The cut is a single from his upcoming record, Lullaby and the Ceaseless Roar.

According to the Guardian, the legendary singer complied with the audience's request for "one more song" by saying he and his band would play an "old English folk song." To the audience's surprise, he then ripped into Led Zeppelin's "Rock and Roll."

Plant describes Lullaby and the Ceaseless Roar as "really a celebratory record, powerful, gritty, African, trance meets Zep. The whole impetus of my life as a singer has to be driven by a good brotherhood. I am very lucky to work with The Sensational Space Shifters. They come from exciting areas of contemporary music . . . I have been around awhile and I ask myself, do I have anything to say? Is there a song still inside me? In my heart?"

Lullaby and the Ceaseless Roar drops September 9.
