Dick Wagner, a former guitarist for Alice Cooper, is in recovery after undergoing heart surgery earlier this week. Word of the surgery came via Classic Rock magazine, which reported that Wagner sought medical treatment last week following problems breathing.
According to the mag, Wagner was rushed into surgery with doctors subsequently clearing several blocked arteries.
The guitarist has suffered a mix of health problems since 2011, including heart attack, stroke, kidney failure, coma, and a near fatal blood clot.
"Prayers are welcome right about now," said Wagner's son Robert in a quote included in the Classic Rock post.
"My dad is still in the hospital with a deep lung infection. Tomorrow they will 'wash' his lungs. Doesn't sound fun, but I'm hoping it works and he can breathe again."
